Review:

The "My Files" file browser by Samsung has a known bug that prevents it from opening STL files directly within the app. This is because it fails to associate the STL extension with the correct app.

To resolve this issue, users can install a third-party file manager from the Google Play Store. This will allow them to open STL files directly while browsing.

The Fast STL Viewer for Android is a 3D viewer that supports both binary and ASCII STL files/models. It offers various convenient view modes such as shaded, wireframe, shaded + wireframe, and points. Notable features include highlighting front and back faces with different colors, fast loading of STL files/models, support for large files/models with millions of triangles, and detection of mesh boundaries/edges and separate (unconnected) meshes/parts.

The app also provides selection functionality, where users can hold their finger on a model to select it. To deselect a model, they can hold their finger on the background. The app displays bounding box information in the status per selection and allows users to invert normals in a selected STL model or delete it from the scene.

Additionally, the app enables users to open STL files directly from Gmail attachments, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive via Fast STL Viewer. It also offers a 3D print option with Treatstock integration.

In-app purchases are available to configure the scene colors (model/face/wireframe/vertex) and background, find the volume (cm3) of a selected STL part, and disable/remove banner ads. The app's internal file manager keeps track of the 10 most recently opened files for easy access.
